You may apply for University Housing at https://dev-lssu.gotchahosting.com/life-at-lssu/housing/. Complete and submit your application as early as possible to receive priority housing based on your preferences. The Housing Office may be reached at housing@lssu.edu or 906-635-2411.
Housing RegistrationBeginning October 1, students admitted for the fall semester can begin completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. You can access information and submit the form online at fafsa.ed.gov.
Visit FAFSAIf you haven’t already visited campus, make sure to. While on campus you’ll receive a guided tour by a Student Ambassador, meet with a faculty member from your desired major, go on an experiential learning tour in a variety of hands-on laboratories, and receive complimentary tickets to an athletic event (during season).
Visit CampusYour username and initial password are located in your Acceptance Letter. Once you log in, make sure to also set up your LSSU Gmail account. Instructions are in your acceptance letter for the username and password. This is the email that the LSSU community will use to email you.
On the right hand side of the screen, that is where you will also find your Anchor Access account – where all of your academic and financial information is located. This is an important part of managing your student information at Lake Superior State, so be sure to get familiar with the information within.

If you are offered a scholarship from LSSU, remember to accept your award on Anchor Access to secure your scholarship. You can speak directly to a Financial Aid Representative by phone at 906-635-2678 or email your questions to finaid@lssu.edu.
If eligible. Students with a high school G.P.A. of 3.1 and SAT score of 1150 are invited to apply to LSSU’s Honors Program. There will be an opportunity to apply at Orientation, but you can apply early online. The earlier you apply, the more likely you are to qualify to reside in Honors housing.

Laker Week is a huge part of your transition to LSSU and includes academic and social activities to help you with a smooth transition into the campus community.
