Noted artist Helga Flower stands next to Enchantment, a piece in acrylic that is one of 60 paintings on mixed media being displayed in Lake Superior State University’s Arts Center Gallery in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., through July. A native of Munich, Germany, Helga studied art in Germany, Canada, and all over the United States, She now teaches watercolor and mixed media workshops all over the United States and abroad with annual workshops in Florida and Mackinac Island. Flower maintains studios in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., and Clewiston, Fla. The week of July 11, Flower will conduct a watercolor workshop at the LSSU Arts Center. Gallery summer hours are 12-4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; 2-6 p.m. Thursday.
