Lake Superior State University ranks highest among all Michigan schools in “Best Bang for the Buck Midwest Colleges” and “Top 200 Bachelor’s Colleges” nationwide, according to Washington Monthly’s 2022 college rankings.

LSSU rated No. 7 in affordability in Best Bang for the Buck Midwest Colleges and No. 13 in the Top 200 Bachelor’s Colleges countrywide assessment of social mobility, research, and service.

“Lake Superior State University remains committed to being one of Michigan’s most affordable public universities with one-rate tuition, among other cost-saving measures. And Lake State’s strategic plan and vision statement include social mobility as a pillar,” said LSSU President Dr. Rodney S. Hanley. “We are proud but not surprised to score so highly for our budget-conscious, innovation-driven, transformative education that prepares students to craft a life of meaningful employment in an inclusive environment while enhancing the quality of life of the Great Lakes region and beyond.”
