Two teams represented LSSU’s Lukenda School of Business and competed against students from universities across Northern Ontario. Teams from Algoma University, Algoma U at Brampton, Nipissing University, and Laurentian University participated in the event.  Sixty-four students competed in the case competition.
Teams were given a spontaneous business case, overhead transparencies, markers, and calculators and tasked to come up with a solution without the aid of electronic devices and the Internet. The teams presented solutions to a panel of judges comprised of local and regional business professionals including Maclin Williams, head of marketing at Porter Airlines; Mark Brand, one of North America’s foremost social entrepreneurs; Dave Wilkin, founder of TenThousandCoffees.com, and Lisa LaVecchia, president and CEO of Destination Ontario.
