Purpose and Function
- To provide cultural, social, and academic support for Indigenous students who attend Lake Superior State University.
- To increase Indigenous student participation in all aspects of the University.
- To provide leadership, direction, resources, and encouragement for the Indigenous students at LSSU.
- To consult with Indigenous students on issues of concern and resolution.
- To assist Indigenous students with adjusting to the University environment.
- To acknowledge and respect the language, culture, and social diversity of all Indigenous students.
- To strengthen cultural competence between Indigenous students and non-Indigenous students.
- To hold meetings, and organize fundraising and social functions for students.
- To provide support and space to incoming and current Indigenous and non-Indigenous students.
- To promote unity and diversity on the Lake Superior State University campus.
- To collaborate with other student organizations and other community service organizations.
