The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) is dedicated to promoting public trust in research. The CITI resources aid in educating investigators in effectively overseeing their research programs effectively and to ensure regulations are met and ethical standards followed. The CITI program has various resources available including; courses, program training, and several tools for protocol creation and organization. New and current investigators can use these resources and tools to keep up to date on regulations and protocols.
If you are in need of Enrollment Instructions contact the IACUC at iacuc@lssu.edu.
The IACUC is responsible for formally reviewing Animal Use Proposal (AUP) forms. These forms must be approved before you may begin any work with vertebrate animals.
If you are not sure whether you need to complete an AUP or other form for conducting your research, please refer to this flowchart for assistance.
Once you have completed the CITI course requirements, download the AUP for the type of research you are proposing. Complete the form and the principal investigator (PI)*** should email it to iacuc@lssu.edu for review.
***IMPORTANT: Only LSSU faculty or qualified staff may serve as the PI on an AUP.
These are additional documents that may be required in order to complete your AUP and should be included with the submission of the AUP as attachments.
All forms are Word documents that must be downloaded first.
